De zusjes Indra en Yara heb ik door de jaren heen geportretteerd terwijl zij opgroeiden van onbevangen meisjes tot zelfbewuste vrouwen. Twee hele verschillende meiden die elkaars zinnen afmaken, tijdens een fotoshoot zo hard lachen dat ze alleen elkaar nog begrijpen. Maar altijd vlijmscherp voor de lens. Ik ben dankbaar deze transformatie en de bijzondere ‘sisterhood’ te mogen documenteren.

In november 2015 I traveled trough Iceland. After an enjoyable week together with my family I went ahead by myself trough this inspiring, lonesome island. I learned that in stead of adjusting the environment to the people living there, Icelanders do it the other way around. The very few human tracks I spotted merge directly into the impressive surroundings. This serie was the outcome of this journey.
